For this collection of samples I wanted to convey texture and colour thought using a broken threading plan that I created form looking at folk art. I used a combination of lifting plans and experimented with different yarn types, using found and waist yarns and materials. The difference in yarns creates an interesting juxtaposition within the weave, from a subtle silk thread to a thick wool.
